JHCL
Jagdulla Hydropower Company Limited (JHCL) was established in 2017 as a subsidiary of Vidhyut Utpadan Company Limited (VUCL) to develop the Jagdulla Peaking Run-of-River Hydroelectric Project (JHEP). Over time, additional shareholders were incorporated, and the company is now jointly owned by VUCL, Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited (HIDCL), Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Karnali Province, and Jagdulla and Mudkechula Rural Municipalities.
JHCL is currently promoting two projects: the Jagdulla Peaking Run-of-River Hydroelectric Project (106 MW) and the Jagdulla-A Hydroelectric Project (123.6 MW).
The project site lies about 750 km west of Kathmandu on the Jagdulla River, near Jagdulla Rural Municipality in Dolpa District, Karnali Province.
